Patpong is one of the famous night markets in Thailand. The place is also called Bangkok red light district. It is part of the famous Silom area in Bangkok and you can reach there by taking BTS, the mass service system of Bangkok. You have to come through Siam station and then get down at Sala Daeng station. Then you can exit from the right where the street vendors are selling their products at the sidewalk. The market starts at 6 in the evening and remain open till 1 o’clock in the morning. It’s a busy market where you can get lots of bars to unwind yourself. It’s a foreigners market and you can see all foreign tourists buying or bargaining at different stalls in the market.

If Patpong is not included in your travel itinerary then you will surely be missing an important place during your visit in Thailand. It’s a must-visit venue for foreign tourists and local Thai’s also second on that, although the place is known as one of the notorious place in Thailand. If you are touring for the first time you have to be very cautious in this market as the vendors asks 20% more from the standard price. So if you are a first time visitor at Patpong night market then you should try bargaining and look for options before you purchase your favorite items.

Another Night market called Chiang Mai Night Market is also known as shopping paradise for foreign tourists. This night market is located at Changklan Road at Chiang Mai’s downtown. The entire street is filled with the sellers who are available on both side stalls. The market is open on all seven days in a week and the operating hours are 6 pm to 12 am. You will get T shirts, lamps, shoes, watches, handbags etc in this market. Wooden furniture’s and jewelry is also available in this market. Its an ideal market to buy gifts for your loved ones.
